"SUNGLO™ Electric grade fused magnesium oxide (MgO) powder is a high‑purity, electrically insulating ceramic used widely in tubular heating elements, cartridge heaters, thermocouples, and other high‑temperature electrical assemblies. Fused MgO (periclase phase) provides an uncommon combination of properties: high dielectric strength, good thermal conductivity, and excellent chemical stability across a wide temperature range. Tailored grades are available for water‑immersed and air‑heated applications.

1) Raw Material: High‑purity magnesite or brine‑derived Mg(OH)₂.
2) Fusing: Electric arc or shaft furnace produces dense, low‑porosity fused MgO (periclase).
3) Crushing & Classification: Controlled milling and sieving to targeted particle size distributions.
4) Calcination/Drying: Reduces LOI and stabilizes surface chemistry for electrical applications.
5) Surface Conditioning: Optional post‑treatments to improve flowability and moisture resistance.
6) Quality Control: Chemical analysis (ICP/OES), PSD (laser diffraction), bulk density, IR and dielectric tests.
✔ Compaction: Achieve consistent packing density to maximize IR and thermal conduction.
✔ Wire Compatibility: Suitable with NiCr and FeCrAl resistance wires.
✔ Temperature Selection: Choose LTWB/LTWA/LTA/HTA/TTHA based on max service temperature and medium (water/air).
✔ Moisture Management: Use baked tubes and dry‑room handling prior to sealing; consider moisture‑resistant grades for water heater elements.
✔ End‑Sealing: MgO cement or ceramic seals recommended to lock in IR and block moisture ingress.
✔ Manufactured by an ISO 9001 company to the highest international specifications.
✔ RoHS/REACH compliant formulations available.
✔ Lot traceability with chemical and PSD certifications.
✔ Electrical testing to customer specifications for IR and dielectric withstand.
25 kg in a plastic plaited bag; or 25 kg in a carton and 2 tons on a pallet. Special packing is available on requirement.
Electrical grade magnesium oxide is a non-toxic product, but with some dust. Masks and gloves are proposed to use during operation. Electrical grade magnesium oxide should be stored in dry places and are suggested to be used out within 6 months after delivery.
